Dekalb Market in Downtown Brooklyn turned into a time machine transporting fun-loving attendees back to the 1970’s for the Down & Derby Roller Disco. Afros, tube socks, headbands and anything 70’s was the dress code for the evening. String lights lit up the roller dance floor outside and the night air was filled with classic dance tunes spun by Rok One & Pete Butta. We witnessed some new styles invented by participants who combined beer and roller skating to create some fun, interesting, entertaining and, most of all, cutting edge moves.
